Re: Pokemon

I finished my own Cascoon story, but I need help to come up with the title.

Here it is.

When I was rather young, I got my first pokemon. I chose treecko because of its aloof attitude.
I then learned that to battle the first Gym Leader, Roxanne, I would have to venture through Petalburg woods.
There, I met Wurmple.
Wurmple doled out some serious stings with its rear barbs. Being the child that I was, I didn't realize that these were especially hurtful toward Treecko because of its Grass typing, and I was immediately impressed, as no Pokemon had hit Treecko that hard before.
I decided to catch Wurmple.

While I was at Rustboro, I recieved a Pokedex. I checked out Wurmple's evolutionary line and learned that it evolved into Beautifly. I wanted one of these, so Wurmple became the head of my party. I treated it as my favorite, while Treecko was having no fun in the PC half the time. Wurmple was also the first of my Pokemon to recieve a nickname; I called it Metamorph.

I used Wurmple when I headed toward the rock Gym. Wurmple was battered brutally by Roxanne's Geodude and started to shriek in pain. At that moment, it ran out of the gym, and I had to forfeit because I had left Treecko in the PC.

I found Metamorph outside the gym, spinning a silk cocoon around its body. I was excited to see it evolve into and decided to go right back into the gym for a rematch.

Metamorph won the battle in a sadistic way. It hardened its cocoon until it couldn't be scathed by physical attacks, then wore Roxanne's Geodude into struggling without flinching a bit, all the while giving Geodude an unnerving stare. Geodude eventually fainted from exhaustion, and Metamorph used the same tactic to win against Nosepass.

Of course, I was impressed.

I treated Metamorph even better than before, spoiling him, making Pokeblocks for him like my mom had taught me to in my youth.

But things change.
Metamorph's fixated stare flat out gave me the creeps.
One day, a particularly rude boy kicked Metamorph in anger after losing to its Harden attack. This hurt the boy more than Metamorph, as Metamorph was still in maximum hardness mode. Metamorph did not flinch, but his crimson eyes glew an even more saturated red, and he looked angry. It was as if Metamorph was taking a mental photograph of this boy, remembering every detail of him since he had tried to cause him pain.

I guess it was Metamorph's stare which gave away the fact it wasn't a Silcoon. One day, a girl came up to me and challenged me with her Silcoon, which she had nicknamed Pink (while it was still a Wurmple). I, of course, sent out Metamorph.
After they had both reached maximum hardness and the battle wasn't going anywhere, I commanded Metamorph to try using poison sting. However, its cocoon concealed its poison barbs, making it impossible for it to use poison sting, so I, mildly dissapointed, told it to tackle Pink instead. Pink tackled back, and while their round bodies were pushing against each other, I noticed that Metamorph was eyeing Pink with ire, while Pink had a stare that shone with determination to win, but not anger.

I wondered why Metamorph looked so angry, so evil.
I noticed that Metamorph was also darker than Silcoon, its purple coloration being almost sinister. The exposed skin which was not covered by its cocoon around its eye was also purple as opposed to Pink's white skin, which I thought was weird, since it was evolving to become Beautifly, and Beautifly's skin is white.

Metamorph lost the war of pushing. The appendages holding up its body became flaccid, and it fainted as they gave way. I was dissapointed, especially since I had to pay Pink's owner.

It occured to me that maybe Metamorph was angry, purple, and had lost the battle because it had some weird disease. I decided to consult my Pokedex.

The Pokedex then revealed another branch of Wurmple's evolutionary line. Metamorph was Cascoon, and it was to evolve into a huge, hideous moth. I was appalled.

My dissapointment, combined with the fact that Metamorph had failed me and made me lose 100 bucks, made me leave the fainted Cascoon back at Petalburg woods. I figured "hey, it's asleep. It'll never know what happened."

I took up training Treecko again. It hated me at first, but eventually it warmed up to me. One day, it evolved into Grovyle, and it became my new favorite. I finally gave it a proper name, Velocileaf.

I was about to battle the third gym one day, when I saw Metamorph blocking the gym entrance.

It had walked all the way from Petalburg Woods to Mauville City to rejoin me. And it was a cocoon; it could barely move at all!
How stupid I was then! I didn't realize how much effort that must have taken. Instead, I yelled at Metamorph to get out of the way. "I have a quest, and you won't hold me back!"
I didn't realize it at the time, but Metamorph's eyes weren't glowing at all before I said those words. In fact, that was the first time ever where they hadn't been glowing. However, as soon as I yelled at it, it seemed that flames struck its eyes, and they glew a more bright, dangerous red than they ever had before.
A tear rolled from Metamorph's eye, but I was too stupid to say "I'm sorry."
I didn't realize that the cocoon had grown attached to me for once treating it as a favorite. I didn't notice that this cocoon at one point liked me; something which, I would eventually learn, Cascoon rarely do.

Even though it was exhausted from its journey, it managed to drag itself away, shifting its hateful glare from me to Velocileaf, who stood beside me, and then back again.

I won against the gym, but that would be Velocileaf's last battle.

Ever.

When I woke up the next day after having spent the night in a sleeping bag in New Mauville alongside Velocileaf, I woke up to see Velocileaf covered in purple powder. It wasn't moving at all, and it looked dead. I touched the powder and smelled it and immediately began to feel horrible, choking for air. I realized that he had been poisoned, but by who!? My first suspicion was
Then, I heard the fluttering of wings from down the corridor, and I remembered the final stage in Wurmple's evolutionary line.
Dustox. The nocturnal, poison moth pokemon. I read it dex entry swiftly, and it told me that upon evolution, it seeked revenge on anyone who had hurt it while it was in the cocoon.

It was Metamorph. And he had been hunting me in my sleep, striking down the one closest to me first to increase my pain before finally executing his ultimate revenge on me. Metamorph began to flutter its wings, spreading a vile powder, and I looked into its masked eyes in horror.

Metamorph didn't kill me, though, because I was too important to his plans for him to do that. It's amazing how truly intelligent Pokemon are. Metamorph had devised a mind control powder, and he used it to turn me into his slave.

Under his instruction, I built a house far away from people, where I live to this day. I sleep most of the night, put into a state of torpor as Metamorph drugs me with his wicked powders. In that time, Metamorph flies around, gathering data. In the mornings, he feeds me the data by collecting it into his powders and making me breathe them in. Then, he puts me back to sleep. It's amazing how much he's taught me.

I'm the main pawn of Metamorph's revenge schemes. He gets me to do his dirtywork for him. I've killed 8 people. There are only 3 left. He has nearly full control over me. It's almost as if I'm the Pokemon, and he's the trainer.

Metamorph is a nice moth, though, and sometimes, after he's used his mind control to make my tie myself to a chair, he lets me regain conciousness for a few moments so I can reflect on the past and the error of my ways.

He knows I recognize the error, but he hasn't forgiven me. Once I've killed the 11 people, he'll put me to sleep permanently.

But really, that's a merciful death compared to what I've put some people through.

Right now, Metamorph is collecting data to teach me how to create and plant homemade bombs. Of course, having a crooked mind, he doesn't plan to directly bomb his next target. Instead, he plans to get his family together with him away, kill them, then slowly drive him to insanity. Then, when he's fully crazy and nobody believes what he has to say, Metamorph will send me in for the kill.

Metamorph also kept me alive as a warning. He wants to stop the ill treatment of Cascoon, so he had me write this and enslaved me to turn me into an example of what can happen to those who wrong Cascoon.

Remember, Cascoon don't forget.
